When I was a child living with layers of inescapab

When I was a child living with layers of inescapable trauma and pain, my ✨imagination✨ was a portal to "what could be". It offered me the precious gift of imagining a life beyond my childhood circumstances. It offered me hope.

Every step of the way, I'd consult my imagination to determine what might be the next best move towards freedom.

As educators, it is our role to nurture a child's right to explore the limits of their imagination. Whether you're offering creative materials for a child to draw & make art, play dough & blocks to construct, or costumes for role play--all of these materials can be portals for children to imagine and create new possibilities.
